Teriberka is located beyond the Arctic circle, on the North-Eastern coast of the Kola Peninsula. Winter here lasts from early November to late April, and local summer residents of more southern regions seem rather spring — the average temperature in July is about +12 C°.

Today, the village is home to less than 1 thousand people, it is divided into two parts: an abandoned old and a relatively new one, where life is still warm — it was previously a separate village Lodeynoye. The main occupation of local residents is small-scale private fishing, and now also serving tourists, who are becoming more and more every year. Interest in the village and its attractions grew after it became the filming location for the film Leviathan by Andrey Zvyagintsev, which won the best screenplay award at the Cannes film festival in 2014. In 2015, Teriberka was even included in the top 20 best places to travel according to National Geographic magazine.

In the European part of Russia, Teriberka is the only place that can be reached by road to see the open Barents sea and the Arctic ocean. Due to the constant winds, the village is a good place for kitesurfing (including winter).

You will see — Ice-free ocean, rocky coast and polar tundra-landscapes that change the mind-a sense of pristine nature — complete absence of people — active walking among rocks, bays, sandy beaches — migratory birds and bird markets — coast guard weapons of the Second world war — unusual nature and views for a photo session.

10:00 — 13:30 Sea voyage from Teriberka WITH ICE FLOATING in the water of Barents Sea

Picturesque views of the coastal granite rocks from the sea, the rugged coastline, replaced by beaches with giant pebbles «Eggs of stone dragons». We will see seals, dolphins frolicking at the surface of the water, whales and a unique species — the high-brow bottle-nosed, whose home is only the Barents sea, as well as periodically observe killer whales during hunting and the amazing color of the sea.  15:30 — Continue exploring the Arctic coast visiting the Graveyard of ships in Teriberka

The ship graveyard in Teriberka makes a strong impression. These were fishing vessels, navigating the Northern seas, fishing along the rocky shores of the Arctic ocean. Some of the vessels were quite big but now they are embedded in the ground.

17:00 — Walking along the coast to a unique Waterfall that flows right into the Arctic ocean

How many waterfalls are located on the coast of the Arctic ocean? Very few. And the waterfall in Teriberka belongs to these unique natural objects. It originates not in the river of the same name, as some claim, but in the Small Battery lake and flows into the Barents sea. A small stream separates from the reservoir and rushes along the stone ledges. Just a few hundred meters later, it flows into the ice giant. The stream breaks from a great height, breaking on the rocks. Its power may vary depending on how much the Battery lake is filled. In some months, the waterfall is full and stormy, and in others – calm and quiet. The fact that sometimes the flow is very powerful indicates the presence of a gorge. Over the years, the water has eroded the rocks, forming a fairly large and deep canyon.
