The 12th Dostoevsky Day is taking place in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg hosts the 12th annual Dostoevsky Day event, timed to coincide with the beginning of the events of the novel Crime and Punishment.

On the night of July 3, a ship of the Puppet Format theater sailed along the rivers and canals of the city, on it were four-meter dolls in the form of Fyodor Dostoevsky and his heroine, the old woman-pawnbroker Alena Ivanovna, as well as other writers and their heroines-old women.

All day on July 3, themed excursions related to Dostoevsky are held in museums. The action is attended by the Dostoevsky Museum, the Russian Museum, the Anna Akhmatova Museum, the Mayakovsky Library and others. At 19:00 the city will host the performance "Dostoevsky Carnival at the Mikhailovsky Castle", you can watch the live broadcast here.
