The Republic of Kazakhstan is the ninth largest country of the world; it occupies over 2,7 mil sq km. Kazakhstan is located in the very center of the Eurasian continent. Kazakhstan borders with Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan, Turkmenistan and China. The capital is Nur-Sultan city.
How to get to Kazakhstan
Many air company have flights into Almaty and Nur-Sultan from Abu Dhabi, Moscow, Delhi, Beijing, Istanbul, Bangkok, Hannover, London, Amsterdam, Baku, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt, and Seoul.
Trains in Kazakhstan are slow but comfortable and clean. Popular routes include Almaty to/from Moscow (77 hours), Novosibirsk (35 hours) and Ürümqi, China (34 hours). Count on a 3–4 hr stay at the Russian border or 6–8 hr at the Chinese border.
Visa to Kazakhstan
Citizens from a number of countries can enter Kazakhstan visa-free for up to 30 days including the US, Canada, all EU countries, Brazil, and Argentina. People from eight neighboring countries (Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and Mongolia) can enter for up to 90 days without a visa. The application form must be completed online and only take a matter of minutes to fill out. Once approved, the eVisa will be sent to the applicant by email.
