South Korea and Russia visa-free travel starts 01st of January 2014
Russians and South Koreans will be allowed to visit each others' countries for up to 60 days without a visa starting from 01st of January 2014.
Russians would be able to spend no more than 90 days per 180-day period in South Korea and vice versa. The new regulations would apply to those traveling for tourism, business and personal purposes, as well as those participating in scientific, cultural and sports events.
Officials hope the agreement will stimulate tourism and trade, as well as boost relations between the countries.
Over 167,000 Russians visited South Korea last year, while about 95,000 South Koreans made the opposite journey.
