DOUBLE-DECKER TRAIN STARTS OPERATING ON ST. PETERSBURG - MOSCOW ROUTE02.03.2015
Russian Railways has launched a new passenger route between Moscow and St. Petersburg that will showcase new two-storey rail cars. The first voyage took place on February 1st.
The trains are will depart from St. Petersburg daily at 8:50 pm, and will arrive to Moscow at 7:00 am the next morning.
New trains feature the bilevel rail cars which also have four persona sleeping compartments, and other cutting edge conveniences: roomier storage compartments, several power outlets, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, magnetic card-based locks, energy-saving windows and bright energy-saving LED lighting, are among the other special features of these modern Russian trains. Cars will also be equipped with sat-coms and other navigational aids. A dining car, cars equipped for people with disabilities, special spaces for the disabled and their companions, a wheelchair lift, and many other modern amenities.
